Tire mounting is the process of putting your new tires on your new wheels, which requires the use of specialized equipment. At Discount Tire Direct, we have the latest equipment to do the job right. Balancing is the process of equaling weight distribution on a tire/wheel assembly to give your vehicle a smooth ride.
When tires are installed, the wheels need to be balanced. If this is not done, the new tires will most likely not roll as smoothly, causing a number of concerns to the driver and vehicle, most notably when the steering wheel shakes and rocks back and forth during specific speeds.
Turning the vehicle will cause uneven tire wear. The outside, front tire is worn disproportionately.
