Do resonators reduce exhaust noise?
Mufflers and resonators work together to quiet your car's exhaust and reduce annoying sounds. While they function differently, they both help improve your exhaust note. Mufflers and resonators can also be deleted for a louder, more aggressive exhaust sound.
Which is better: muffler delete or resonator delete?
If you want a louder and lighter vehicle, you'll be better off with the muffler delete. If you're after a good sound and a little more power, the resonator delete is the way to go.
Does muffler delete increase HP?
So for most cars, the muffler delete will not add any power. Some cars will gain some power, but generally it's not much, usually under 5 horsepower. However, if you have a car modified for more power, and still has the stock mufflers, then you'll have more gain.
Does a muffler delete affect Turbo?
Now, on a turbo car, the exhaust pulses aren't in a savaging affect because of the turbo, and changing or deleting the muffler once again will make little difference if the piping size isn't increased.
